Maximum temperatures generally close to average, but slightly above average across Scotland. Provisionally, it was the coldest November since 1998 for England for maximum temperatures. Minimum temperatures were generally around 1.0 deg C above average but close to average across much of Scotland. Rainfall anomalies ranged from around 150 % of average across parts of central and eastern England to around 50 % across parts of eastern Scotland. Sunshine anomalies ranged from over 140 % across parts of eastern Scotland to less than 80 % across parts of north-west Scotland and south-east England. Hawarden Airport (Flintshire) recorded a maximum temperature of 16.0 °C on the 14th. Braemar (Aberdeenshire) recorded a minimum temperature of -12.1 °C on the 30th. Craibstone (Aberdeenshire) recorded 15 cm of lying snow at 0900 GMT on the 23rd.
