Why can the forecast sometimes change?

19th May 2017 Last updated at 13:46

Sometimes you may find that details of the weather forecast can change over a few hours, let alone days.

This was the case on Thursday, where the south east of England had a much wetter day than first anticipated. Forecaster Charles Powell explains why it is important to look at the bigger picture, as it often influences our weather here in the UK.
