Temperatures rise in the Arctic

4th December 2016 Last updated at 15:27

There's growing concern amongst scientists that weather in the Arctic Circle hasn't been as cold as it should be at this time of year. Researchers recently recorded a reading of minus five Celsius, but it should be 20 degrees lower.

BBC Weather's John Hammond speaks to Professor Julienne Stroeve from the National Snow and Ice Data Centre and to Jonathan Day from the Department of Meteorology at Reading University in this report.
