Cullercoats A developing area of low pressure will transfer northeastwards from southeast England into the southern North Sea during Friday. This low deepens rapidly as it exits southeast England, before moving northeastwards through the North Sea towards southern Scandinavia during the weekend, with the deep parent low expected to later transfer westwards towards the Shetland Islands later Sunday. There will be a transient ridge of high pressure moving eastwards from the Atlantic into Ireland during Saturday, ahead of an approaching frontal system, this expected to reach western Britain later Saturday, sliding eastsoutheastwards towards northern France during Sunday, perhaps with a low centre developing. A westerly flow follows across the United Kingdom on Monday. Cyclonic strong to gale in the central North Sea becoming northwesterly to northerly in all areas as the low moves away northeastwards, perhaps local severe gale in the western North Sea. By Sunday evening and persisting through Monday, mainly westerly to southwesterly gale in northern North Sea, locally cyclonic or severe gale near Viking and Shetland, with strong to gale westerly winds in southern North Sea and English Channel

Niton A developing area of low pressure will transfer northeastwards from southeast England into the southern North Sea during Friday. This low deepens rapidly as it exits southeast England, before moving northeastwards through the North Sea towards southern Scandinavia during the weekend, with the deep parent low expected to later transfer westwards towards the Shetland Islands later Sunday.
