Radio Newcastle Book Club

BBC Radio Newcastle's monthly Book Club is the perfect place to get into books - and to get more out of them. Keith Topping leads the way.

Keith Topping hosts the monthly BBC Radio Newcastle Book Show on The Julia Hankin Show.

The Newcastle-born author, journalist and broadcaster takes the stuffiness out of books to bring you a light-hearted and informal review programme.

Regular features on the show include reviews of new and recent releases, interviews with authors and publishers, and a Book of a Month.

As Keith says, "With The Book Show, I aim to encourage listeners to read and explore new books and visit their local libraries."

Details of the latest programme:

August 2007

1. Alastair Campbell - The Alastair Campbell Diaries: The Blair Years (Hutchinson)
2. Guy Walters - Berlin Games: How Hitler Stole the Olympic Dream  (John Murray)
