CSV Action Desk
The CSV Action Desk at BBC Radio Newcastle has been helping listeners to make a difference in the North East since 2001.
Charities, community groups and voluntary organisations have recruited new volunteers through the CSV Action Desk, and with the help of a dedicated team working behind the scenes, we've taken your calls to help hundreds of people from the North East.
What is the Action Desk?
The aim of the CSV Action Desk is to get people volunteering.
Around half of the people in the UK are volunteering at any one time and the other half say that they would get involved if only they knew what was out there – and that's where the Action Desk comes in.
You'll hear the CSV Action Desk on air, each weekday, talking about different charities or organisations which need your help, and if you hear something you'd be interested in helping out with, it's a simple matter of picking up the phone and giving us a call.
So what are you waiting for…?
Get in touch with us and find out what you could be doing!
You can hear the CSV Action Desk bulletins on BBC Radio Newcastle weekdays at 11.20, 14.50 and 16.20, and on Saturdays at 06.50.
