The Anne Fine Interview

BBC Radio Newcastle's Julia Hankin chats to County Durham based author Anne Fine.

Anne Fine is best known for writing books for children, but did you know that she also writes novels for adults and is based in County Durham?

Julia Hankin
Julia Hankin

The former Children's Laureate has written over forty books, one of which was turned into a Hollywood movie starring Robin Williams. Her latest book is 'Raking the Ashes', her sixth novel for adults.

'Raking the Ashes' is a comedy of family life, though the humour is far darker than that found in her books for children.

Listen to Anne Fine talking about her new book and life as an author, in an interview on BBC Radio Newcastle's Julia Hankin show.
