About X-Ray

The programme that refreshes the consumer problems other shows cannot reach.

X-Ray is one of BBC Wales' most popular programmes, and can be seen on BBC One Wales for around 25 weeks of the year.

X-Ray is all about the issues that affect you. Our team of researchers, producers and presenters follow up the stories you tell us about, to get the best result for you and others who may have had similar experiences.

Hopefully though, you won't always need to come to X-Ray for help. Here are some of Lucy and Rhodri's top tips for getting results in a consumer stalemate situation.

  • Go straight to the top - "Unless you go to the top, other people in the chain of command may not care about you," says Rhodri
  • Do a bit of homework - let people think you know your rights. That way you have the advantage.
  • Check out the X-Ray website for the handy X-Guides which cover everything from online shopping to home improvements.
  • Keep all paperwork and receipts - "You don't have to file papers and receipts, as long as you keep them - just have a little box or drawer at home and chuck everything into it," says Rhodri.
  • Contact X-Ray - "People should get in touch even if they think it's a very small issue," the presenters say. "If 20 other people have had the same bad experience, then it's important."
