Stinkers

Put your nose to the test and see what strange smells you can sniff out!

This activity can be done in a group or on your own.

What you need:

  • A small paper cup
  • A twig (stirrer)

Lots of animals rely heavily on their sense of smell. So just imagine how smelly their surroundings must be!

1. Take a small paper or plastic cup and a twig to use as a stirrer.

2. Search around, picking up tiny pieces of earth, moss, leaves and bark etc.

3. Put them in your cup and crush them down using your stirring twig. Take a sniff of your stinky mixture.

It's amazing what smells you find. Some are real stinkers!
