Loneliness and isolation in Snowdonia In the 1960s Mrs Annie Vincent and her husband retired from the Midlands to North Wales, to an area almost exclusively Welsh in both language and tradition. They bought two remote cottages. Mr Vincent died suddenly after only two years, and his widow, by this time severely afflicted with arthritis, realised how isolated she was from the community. This 1960s documentary looks at how people create a dream world for their retirement, and how the reality can be very different.
