Two old miners recall their past At the turn of the century, Teify Jones and William Thomas travelled from Cardiganshire to the Rhondda Valley to look for work underground. Years later in retirement, after a life of friendship, they met every day to sit on a bench and discuss ever subject under the sun. The camera recorded them as they recalled the past: the fighting in France, depression in the Valleys, soup kitchens, dole queues and a country transformed by the 1960s.
