Oggie Oggie Oggie Max Boyce in concert at Deeside Leisure Centre With his big collars and bigger leeks, Max Boyce burst upon the Welsh entertainment scene in the 1970s. To the press he was a babbling, beaming boyo as he burst on to the stage wearing a red blazer, red and white scarf and bobble hat. Born in Glynneath, he worked underground as a boy; the collier and rugby have always been his great passions. His record sales, with songs are based around the community he knows, top two million. He still fills theatres in Wales and as far afield as Australia.
