Victor Parker, jazz man, gets a New Orleans-style send off in Tiger Bay Down at the Quebec pub, on the town side of the Cardiff docks, Victor Parker was a legend. Jazz lovers flocked from everywhere to see him sitting centre-stage on a high stool with his hat perched on the back of his head. And when he died in 1978, they gave him one of Cardiff dockland's most memorable send offs. For his funeral, the band followed his coffin all the way from the Quebec to St Mary's the Virgin in Bute Street.
