Wartime broadcasting to the overseas troops Wales's contribution to morale during World War II included one very popular service: Dai's Letter to the Forces. It was a light-hearted report of news back home, aimed at the troops stationed abroad. The man who read Dai's letters, Lyn Joshua, was the author of another famous wartime morale-booster: the song We'll Keep a Welcome.
