A concert in Cardiff, and meditation in Bangor For many, John, Paul, George and Ringo were the Sixties. When they visited Cardiff in 1964, fans queued all night for tickets. Three years later, in Bangor, North Wales, at a meditation seminar held by their Indian guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the fab four chose publicly to renounce drugs, claiming they no longer needed them. It was here that they heard of the death of their manager Brian Epstein from an overdose of sleeping tablets.
