Surfin' Muppet

Name: Tom Llewelyn
Age: 24
Job: Furniture designer/ traveller
Years Surfing: On and off for years
Habitat: Cardiff/Swansea
Boards: 3
Quiver: 6'3 blue egg, seems to catch everything! 6'0 busted fish and a random old 6'7 rounded pin that I patched up with cricket bat tape!
Local Break: Gower when at home, clean waters of Porthcawl when in Cardiff
Places Surfed: Wales, South England, West France, East Oz
Favourite Surf Films: "Endless Summer" of course! And "Somewhere, Anywhere, Everywhere"
Worst Wipeout: Had the really bad idea of going in at place called Maroubra in Oz when it was barrelling 5-6 ft and I could barely take off! Finally got out back after about 1/ 2 hour, caught a wave, straight over falls - had the wash treatment for ages and that horrible feeling of confusion - which is up or down? I started breathing in water and remember distinctly thinking this was it for me but then hit the sand and was bounced up...I think! Got out and lay down unable to move with mates just going "where the **** did you go?!'"
And had bad one at Rest on a big day last Winter - had that feeling again!! still aint been in over 6ft since!Going left @ Bondi
Favourite Manoeuvre: Anything I can pull off that I mean to do - Which aint that much!
Worst Surfing Habit: Hitting my face on the board when duck diving!
Best Surfing Experience: Gotta be the first time I caught a really clean 4ft face (only whitewater before) and couldn't stop smiling, remember every second of it.
Weirdest Surfing Experience: Getting my leash caught on a big log as took off! What are the chances?
Other Interests: Any kinda design really, drawing, any sport going, climbing, music.
