Big Wave Fanatic
I am terrified of sharks..mainly the bite. but anyways when i was first learning how to surf i was sitting on the outside waiting for a set, cautiously watching the surface of the water for any fins. just as i was about to calm down from this paranoia, a huge fin poooped out of the water right next to me. i flipped out! i was screaming and trying to paddle back in before i realized....it was just a dolphin. i was such a kook.

Was on holiday in Malta and went to feel the temperture of the sea with my hands and put my finger on to a weaver fish, it stung like hell. it was a real bad pain and had to go to the Maltese doctors who told me to put in hot water.

I was stung by a weaver fish in Perranporth and it was agony. The life guard was brill and put my foot in real hot water and that took the pain off in about 30 mins. Do wear jelly shoes in the sea, they prevent tootsies from these sort of mean spirited critters. Have fun yorl.

While sitting on the board waiting for a set about 2-3 weeks ago, whitebait or small sandeel were bubbling all around me, even jumping out of the water, probably chased by mackrel or bass..... cool!

Surfing at Puttsborough a few years ago and saw massive Dorsal fin (Shark!) initially crapped myself then realised it was a basking shark! About 15ft long just chilling, swimming slowly parralell with the beach near the surface.
