Abergorlech
A site predominantly containing pictures of this Carmarthenshire village. The site's current organiser is planning to relinquish his post and is looking for a local person to take over.

AmmanfordAmmanford
A vast amount of detailed information is offered here on everything about Ammanford. The history section alone provides detailed information on the origins of the town's name, along with material on street names, information on Betws Primary School, Amman Valley Grammar, Gwynfryn School, the tech, and much more. There's also a section of photographs, biographies of famous people, churches and chapels, and suggestions for places to visit.

Brechfa

Brechfa.info provides links to information and history relating to the Carmarthenshire village of Brechfa and the local area. Information is also given on people for whom Brechfa has been the birthplace of, home to, or a place to stay a while.

Caio
Website on this village found between Llandovery, Llandeilo and Lampeter. Very useful for visitors to the area. Site was nominated by Geoff Ward of Pittsburgh, USA.

Caldey Island
You'll find Caldey Island off the coast of South Pembrokeshire, close to the seaside town of Tenby. The island is home to a group of Cistercian Monks, and this growing website offers a fascinating insight into island life. Information is given on Caldey's history - did you know that the Abbey was built in 1910 by the Anglian Benedictine Monks? The site also provides instructions on how to get across to Caldey, as it's a popular summer day-trip from Tenby. If you're unable to get to Pembrokeshire you can buy Caldey products online.

Carmarthen - St. Peters Parish Church
Comprehensive information is provided here on St. Peters. Find out when services are held in the church, read about the restoration of the church building and learn about its Royal connections.

Cilycwm
A community association has been set up in this small village near Llandovery, aiming to improve the life of villagers, and this website is the result of their efforts. There's a wide range of information both of historical interest and for present-day concerns. There's also a section looking at the surrounding area including places such as the Llyn Brianne Reservoir.

Drefach-Felindre
This bilingual site covers the rural settlements of Drefach and Felindre. You'll find a basic diary of events and contact details for local businesses. There's also photographs of community events.

An image-rich site with the focus primarily on the Port of Fishguard, though Pembroke and Holyhead also get a mention. There's pictures of ferries, trucks, and trains.
You'll also find photographs of local villages and castles, historic monuments and beaches.

Lamphey, Hodgeston, and Freshwater East

This is designed primarily to serve people with an interest in, or connection to, any of the three villages. There's also a guide on places to visit, as well as business links and information about politicians' surgeries, and other local bodies.

Gower
This well-presented, effective site is described as being the 'essential guide to Gower', providing detailed information for both locals and tourists. There are large sections on natural history and events, and you'll also find a gallery of coloured photographs.
Note: As this is a popular site it can, on rare occasions, go 'over-bandwidth' (meaning there are more visitors trying to access the site during a given period than the site's service provider has agreed to) and can be inaccessible - if this should be the case try the site again another time.

Haverfordwest
This site about the west Wales town is divided into three clear sections - visitors, community and business - so you should be able to find something of interest!

Kidwelly
This site on Kidwelly is divided into three sections - information on the town council, a calender of events and lastly a section for visitors.

This is a free photographic guide to the Kidwelly area covering the towns of Kidwelly, Ferryside and Pembrey.

Llanarthne
One of a fleet of community websites recently launched by Carmarthenshire Tourism Development, it's hoped that each town and community in the county will have it's own site in the coming months and years. Managed by locals, these bilingual sites contain a mixture of local notices and useful information, along with guides for tourists, galleries, local history and business listings. Though relatively small at the moment it's hoped that these sites will grow as more people come online and contribute to the sites. Take time to enjoy the slideshow of old photographs of Llanarthne school.

Llandeilo Town Council
A useful and effective website covering the market town of Llandeilo, aimed at both visitors and locals.

Llandeilo
This concise website about the market town has lots of old photographs relating to it's history. There's a guestbook and information on the Llandeilo Fawr Festival, held annually each September.

Llandovery
One of a fleet of community websites launched by Carmarthenshire Tourism Development and community councils, it's hoped that each town and community in the county will have it's own site in the coming months and years. Managed by locals, these bilingual sites contain a mixture of local notices and useful information, along with guides for tourists, galleries, local history and business listings. Though relatively small at the moment it's hoped that these sites will grow as more people come online and contribute to the sites. Take part in one of the opinion polls on local issues.

Llanegwad
This village, roughly halfway between Carmarthen and Llandeilo, is the subject of a remarkably detailed site. It contains emergency numbers, contact addresses and telephone numbers for a variety of organisations, aerial photographs and a huge amount of material on all sorts of local history - including information from parish records.
Perhaps most extraordinary of all is an image of an enormous cat, which must be in the running for the title of "largest domestic cat in Wales" - it's known as the "Beast of Llanegwad".

Llanfallteg
Website which covers the parish of Henllanfallteg in West Carmarthenshire. Read more about local events here or find out about the village's past. Site nominated by Dave King.

Llanfynydd
This Carmarthenshire village has a school, a church, a shop, and a few pubs. The site mostly comprises of pictures, but there's also information on notable events in the life of the village, the times of church services, and the opening hours of the post office/shop. The site also welcomes contributions.

Llangadog, Capel Gwynfe and Bethlehem
Community website based in the Towy Valley, Carmarthenshire. It was set up by the Balchder Bro committee. It contains information on businesses within the community, places to eat and drink and local council information including council minutes.

Llangennith Archive
This new site provides information on the village of Llangennith in Gower. Explore the history of the area, what courses are being run in Gower College and much more.

Llangunnor
One of a fleet of community websites launched by Carmarthenshire Tourism Development and community councils, it's hoped that each town and community in the county will have it's own site in the coming months and years. Managed by locals, this bilingual site for and about Llangunnor contain a mixture of local notices and useful information, along with guides for tourists, galleries, local history and business listings. You can also keep track of, and keep in touch with, the activities and meetings of the community council, find out what activities the local school is involved in, and post your events.

Llanmadoc
This concise site provides information and photographs on Llanmadoc village in Gower. Recent additions include a new section featuring old photographs of the village. You'll also be able to find out more from here about Killay Community Council.

Learn all about the village of Llanybri in Carmarthenshire - from information on the history of the village to photographic galleries looking at recent community events. There's also a section devoted to the Llanybri Millennium Embroidery Project.

Milford Haven
This is the offical website for the town council of Milford Haven. Included in the many sections are a detailed time-line of major historical events in the area and a useful list of telephone numbers for local services / businesses.

Morriston Camera Club
This site not only includes details about the camera club, but also information about the town with photos and a brief history of Morriston with many old photos and memories of this important industrial town.

Part of the 'Enjoy Gower' site, here you'll find a comprehensive visitor guide to Mumbles town. Sections include - restaurants, accommodation and beaches. Site suggested by Chris Jones.

Neyland
This Neyland Town Council Community website is a good reference point for all those interested in the South Pembrokeshire town. As well as providing information on present day topics there's an interesting section on the town's history.

Newcastle-Emlyn
Alongside all the features you would expect from such a site, there's also a discussion forum complete with pictures, detailed information on the town council and its meetings, and a photo gallery.

This bilingual site aims to serve the community and the "global visitor" with material on places to stay, artists galleries, and places to eat out. There's also a community area with links to transport timetables, schools, sports clubs, information on libraries and a chat room.

St Florence
This site was nominated by Greg of St. Florence. It provides information on this small village situated some three miles west of Tenby. Useful to both locals and visitors to south Pembrokeshire.

Castle SquareSwansea
This local authority site has lots of essential information for residents and visitors alike. Along with the usual material on local services, there's also an area on tourism, business, Swansea Grand Theatre, roadworks, local literary legend Dylan Thomas, and lots on Swansea Marina - right down to detailed pilotage notes.
They also have a detailed and up-to-date Events Guide for what's on in and around the city.

Swansea
This site describes Swansea as "the golden coastal city" and provides a wealth of information on it. There are detailed lists of restaurants, clubs, accommodation - lots of what you might need when planning your spare time. There's also a number of general Welsh sections which look at topics such as the Eisteddfod.

A clear and interesting guide to the village of Tegryn, with links to a map and a wide variety of information - from tourist attractions to contact information for local schools.

You can read village newsletters with lots of useful information, check out a potted history of St Clydai's Church, view business material, and even take a look at their webcam!
