Ghost Puppies

Vicki tells us all about a haunting of the Canine Kind....

"Whilst on holiday last summer in St Clears in Wales, my daughter had a seriously strange experience."

"We were staying at an old mill just set back from a country lane. We had no idea of the history of the building, but it was extremely pretty."

"One morning my daughter said that the puppies were outside her window crying to get in. We said it was probably a dream, and not to bother about it. She wasn't at all disturbed in fact she was quite delighted, (she's only four). This went on for a whole week, we even went into her one night to tell her to go back to bed, as she was up at the window laughing."

"Anyway, a couple of days before we left we got talking to the postmistress in the local Post Office. We told her about these pups (as we were quite amused). She then turned around and said that in the 18th century the mill keeper, who had a hatred of animals, used to drown any animals he found on his land, as he believed them to be evil."

We moved her into our room the next night.

My family lives in that part of Wales and I use to spend my summers at Pen-y-coed. There was an old mill on the land that has since been converted into a holiday rental. When I was young my friends and I would play in the old mill, it wasn't unusual to hear dogs at the door that weren't there. My grandmother told me the previous owner was known for drowning dogs. Could it be the same mill?

Very good story, people say that animals and young children experience the paranormal more than any1 else for some weird reason, good story like :)
