The Sinister House

Rhiannon from Swansea tells of a strange tale from Port Eynon - a green man, a red lady, a mysterious axe - and a possible cover-up...

"When I was in Y6, our school took us to stay the week at a house in Port Eynon. It wasn't very big so not all of us stayed at the same time. I stayed in the last half of the week, with my mates and we slept in two different rooms in the attic."

"The stairs up to the attic were VERY narrow, so the teachers ordered us not to run on them, but we were so freaked we never walked. None of us ever got enough courage to stay on them long. It just felt awful. On the main stairs it felt almost the same. By the attic stairs was another set of stairs, leading down to a door, but at the top of the stairs was an grille, like the ones in 'Titanic', but white, to stop us going down there. At the bottom of the stairs was a light which flickered on and off."

"In the rooms, people on the first half of the week could hear whistling. We told the boys about this, but they just laughed at us.
"When a girl found an old axe with red stains on the blade, we pieced together that a person had been murdered on the creepy stairs and the axe was put in the hedge, where it was found.
"We all got REALLY freaked out and the teachers said we weren't to talk about it."

"Did they know something we didn't? Some of the older kids who had been before us said that they'd seen a green man in the garden and a red lady upstairs.
And to think I spent three days there........"

I have to say that I believe you. It sounds like you had a weird experiance. I think it would be very cool to go in a haunted house.

I am just 13 years old. I am like so freaked about ghosts. But some how I always find a interest about learning about them and reading about them. Also reading peoples stories they wrote about experiencing a ghost. well all i know if i see a ghost i would make observations from a far distance. but if it gets to close i am running out of there. But I think knowing or hearing about a place you stayed at was haunted. I would love to take a tour but just in the morning :-)!
