Strange Glow of Llechryd

Joe from Llechryd in Pembrokeshire tells a strange tale of ghosts and glows...

"My friend lived in a very old mansion in the valley below my village. The rooms were huge and there would be very strange noises around the house at night. But one night would stay in our minds forever."

"It was about half past three in the morning and the entire house was lit up as the two small children got very scared at night - they said they used to see a ugly man walk through their room down to the fuse box. This was in what used to be a old servants gambling room - it was said someone got killed there because of cheating."

"That night there was a eerie silence in the house and all of a sudden the lights went out but there was a odd glow in the children's bedroom which disappeared as soon as we all stood up to investigate. The children said they saw a man being stabbed by another man who looked similar, and then they disappeared. And what was that eerie glow in the bedroom?"

When I was a teenager 20 years ago and living in Glanarberth, Llechryd I awoke to see a figure at the foot of my bed looking at me. It still creeps me out. my bedroom was an old tack room - I was not dreaming.

That sounds fascinating. Just after my second son was born 9 years ago I woke in the middle of the night for no reason at all and above me was an elderly mans face. It was larger than it should have been and that too had an electrical blue glow. I was not afraid of what I could see and slowly the face passed over the bed and through the wall next door. My concern was for the little boy that lived next door as his room was next to my own. I checked on my son who was sleeping fast and went straight back to sleep.
