What sort of voluntary work work do you do and where?
"I work for the Care Charity Shop in Pontarddulais, raising funds to buy equipment for local hospitals. "

How did you get started?
" I got started by buying items at the shop and getting to know the staff. Soon after I began to work there."

How long have you been a volunteer?
" I have been a volunteer for coming up to three years."

Are there any special skills you need to be a volunteer?
"The skills, I believe that are needed to be a volunteer are to understand people and patience."

How many hours a week/month do you give?
"I give five hours a week."

What are the best, and worst things about being a volunteer?
"The best thing about being a volunteer is meeting people. The worst thing would be the dirty clothes that are given to the shop in some bags."

How can others get involved?
"Others can get involved by just asking around. There are so many people needing help in different ways."
