I really like the Dr. Who connections. . .My fellow companion on a trip to Antarctica lives in Swansea now and I can see why he chose such a lovely place. Simon C. a.k.a. Birder. probably doesn't see too many of his favorite birds here. . .not any albatros hereabout. Nice train station and good people at the nearby hotel and restaurants.

The Gower is an amazing place, reply to Ron, how does he know that Swansea is run down if he lives in Sydney. That a little bit short sighted,I was told by my parents and friends who live there that Swansea is undergoing some major investment and re-generation.

These photos appeal on many levels. Artistically, they're a wonder. They also bring back fond memories of the area. I was last in Swansea and on the Gower peninsula fifteen years ago and am looking forward to showing my eight-year-old daughter her ancestral land.

I'm originally from Swansea but now live in sunny Sydney, Australia, I would say Gower is the jewel of the crown for Swansea, thou the city is getting a bit run down these days
