Back in the corridor hangs this portrait of Sir Frank Brangwyn, the artist forever associated with this building because of the Brangwyn Hall, another great interior within the Guildhall.

Brangwyn's set of murals provided for the House of Lords in London were rejected by the Lords Committee and, subsequently, offered to Swansea. The architect redesigned the assembly hall to accommodate these murals.
