I've admired Brangwyn's work for many years having visited the gallery in Bruges. I was able to visit Leeds in 2006 for the exhibition and was even more astounded at the amazing talents of the man. Why? Oh why has this country allowed his name and work to be almost forgotten?

I have an original lithograph called The Mine...did it represent a specific mine in South Wales? And did he have a connection to the industry?

I have Brangwyn's etching of Santa Maria from the street. In what city is this Santa Maria? I should be very grateful to know.

It is a pity that very little about Welsh artists is taught in our schools and that art lessons focus more around the brush! I love art, winning a scholarship to Swansea College of Art in the 70's, but being talked out of it by a careers' teacher! Sir Frank Brangwyn's work I find very inspirational, brilliant use of colour and work that has its own pulse. I wish I had known more about him and other successful Welsh Artists'.
