Three Cliffs Bay

Three Cliffs Bay

It's a bit of a hike to this beach but very picturesque and quiet. There's a small car park right at the top and a path down through a few gates. Respect the residents who live here and close the gates or the sheep get out! It's basically a beach break with a light scattering of rocks. It's sheltered from most wind directions and works best from mid to high tide. Rips can be a problem here so be careful. The far left produces some nice hollow sections in S/SW swells. NNE winds are offshore here.

Lovely beach. Real good for surfing and swimming around the Three Cliffs to Pobbles and the views are classic, not that I care 2 much. I'm all for the rock jumping down Pobbeles. To the left there the cliffs are the current, doesn't seem to be strong there at all but still be careful because on a big swell it's very strong u can be up to your knees and feel it. Fantastic beach though, by far the nicest in Swansea

Most of the time the surf in Three Cliffs is too small and it's quite a way to take your boards and stuff, but when its good its goood!

Rob - resident Three Cliffs Bay
This is a stunning beach and the surf can be great with the right swell. Watch out for the rip tides- every year we have people swept out.Park in the farm in summer, as car crime can be a problem & residents need to park.Have fun

Amazing place. Nice for a walk. Could not walk down to the beach. Make sure the weather is sunny. The view in the morning is simply breathtaking.

Wkd beach 2 surf on, nice scenic views of Oxwich, pleasant walk down to beach, and worth the walk when, big surf.

Nice clean long barrels here. Very scenic nice place to surf. Highly recommended at a mid tide. Beware of strong rips though.

When it wants to be, this place is outstanding. (Like yesterday, on the pushing afternoon tide at least 4 ft, long barrels, left and right, glassy with a light offshore, easy paddle out, perfect shape, clean, fast and hollow and only three guys out!)

On a good day choose this over a crowded Caswell or Langland. Secluded and scenic with a nice clean break when off shore.

Always worth the treck at mid-tide on a big swell.

Nice.

No longer worth the treck - the dredging of the sandbanks in the Channel has ruined the beach, and now all you will find is sloppy close-outs.
