Pembs Surf Bus

The Coastal Cruiser Surf's up! If you're heading to the beach, catch the coast bus...

Whether you just enjoy cruising around some of Pembrokeshire's finest beaches or are a die hard surfer without wheels, then look no further. The surf bus' Summer service should be heading back in May.

Thanks to the service, surfers can now get to Pembrokeshire's top surfing beaches with ease. The Coastal Cruiser runs around the stunning Angle Peninsula from Pembroke Dock to Pembroke, Angle, Bosherston and Stackpole, seven days a week. It's the first bus of it's kind in the country to carry bicycles, surfboards, wheelchairs and climbing equipment.

It also has environmental credentials, running as it does on bio-diesel - an "environmentally friendly" fuel. The aspiration is that the Bus' presence will reduce the number of vehicles on the roads and enable non-car users to access west Pembrokeshire.
The Coastal Cruiser in PembrokeThe Coastal Cruiser is being introduced in South Pembrokeshire to provide public transport access to the coastline and builds on the success of the Puffin Shuttle, Celtic Coaster, Poppit Rocket and Strumble Shuttle coastal bus services. It provides a solution to rural transport problems in the area, providing daily public transport for locals and visitors to go walking, surfing, cycling, climbing or spending a day at the beach.

The bus route follows the coastline from Pembroke to Angle, Freshwater West, Castlemartin, Bosherston, Stackpole and Freshwater East. The bus also serves Broad Haven South and Stackpole Quay car parks daily and Stack Rocks at weekends and bank holidays.Surfboard racks inside
Pembrokeshire Coastal Bus Services are an important link for walkers on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Trail. Bus services can provide transport to the start of your walk, enabling you to walk back to your destination without having to re-trace your steps.

The Winter service runs three days a week until the end of April 2005, and the full daily Summer service resumes in May.
All Wales bus pass holders will be pleased to learn that their passes are valid on all Pembrokeshire Coast Bus Services.
