You'll find The PONTY project in Pontardawe's Herbert Street. The project, a local facility for youngsters ages 11 - 24 years old, was launched on 30 January 2006 by local boy and ex rugby star Bleddyn Bowen.
In the building you'll find a digi-lab, snack bar and hall. The hall is equipped with a pool table, television, DVD, video and Playstation.
If you're aged between 16 and 21 you're eligible to become a senior member of the club.
You'll then be able to undertake a ten week free training course, designed to meet the needs of young people who wish to develop skills in working with other young people in informal settings.
Currently the centre is running a competition to design a logo for the project, which closes at the end of March 2006. If you'd like to find out more about the competition telephone Diane Brookes on 01792 830099 or call into the centre.
The centre is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening from 6.30 - 8.30 pm, and the entrance charge for youngsters is 50p per evening. It's hoped that in the future these opening hours will be extended throughout the week.
The centre has full disabled access.
For further information telephone project manager Diane Brookes on 01792 830099.

Ponty project I find very fun and the people are really nice there. I wish it came more often than just Monday Wednesday and Friday.
