Teifi Scribblers

Books

Last updated: 06 March 2007

Hal Hunt tells us about the Teifi Scribbers - a creative writing group based in the Newcastle Emlyn area.

Hello out there,we are the Teifi scribblers, a group of like minded people with a love of words in all its forms. Our aim is to enjoy writing be it a short story novel or poetry, and to learn from each other and the many varied authors around today and in history.

Our founder is Annette E Lee, who also lectures in creative writing, and runs writing workshops and seminars. Originally there was just three or four of us, we met sparodically to discuss what we had been writing, discuss new books and exchange ideas. We now number fourteen, and have an official title, constitution etc as a proper bona fide group, we are humorously serious about the writing we do.

The ages of the group range from nineteen up to seventy, so you see we have the advantage of modern and ancient ideas and experiences.

We meet in the Penrhiwllan Village Hall every third Monday in the month at 7 pm. The Hall is between Newcastle Emlyn, and Horeb. Our activities and jobs are varied, we have businessmen farmers, students, and those in retirement, a broad spectrum of society, our members come from all over west Wales.
