Went To The office Swansea a few months back to to go see sutagar (from spain )they were great but i Really enjoyed the support band Beyond Afterlife and was shocked after speaking to them to find out they are from swansea . I have never seen a band in/from Swansea in 15 years that can give the big bands a good run for there money

Saw an excellent band called Echoes in the cellar bar Cardigan on saturday. They played Pink Floyd / Genesis covers. The guitarist and drummer were amazing,and the singer did my fave Gabriel song (here comes the flood). I loved their Syd Barrett tribute song as well. Does anybody know more about them, where else they are playing?

Just got back home after what was meant to be a quiet night out (as I'm recovering from a hefty Friday on the tiles). Popped in to the Duke in Neath for a swift brewski, and encountered the mighty noise of The Buffalo Kings.
I would advise anyone who has the chance to go and see these guys to do so.

Just a quick plug for a band I know of from swansea valleys, as you may know the music scene up here (manchester) is pretty hot , but Quest are one of the best covers bands I have seen on one of my many welsh exscursions, the music is of every era and style and these are proper musicians with a good singer. Just saw a great band called Moontagu here in Llandovery. I was in the area and dropped in to the Castle Hotel last month for a free concert. And after hearing and seeing this talented family band, I would gladly have paid whatever they asked.
Do yourself a favour and find out when they are playing next and see them. All original, from rock to blues, through instrumentals (including didgerido) to modern jazz.

On holidy on the Gower we got tickets for the evening bash at Pennard Carnival 15/7/06. Saw a fantastic band called "JOE SCHMO" we danced all night to great rock n roll covers and some more modern ones too, couldn't believe how good the Kings of Leon one was and The chillies!!We have got tickets to come and see them again at Oystermouth, White Lady Festival on 19th August. They are playing at The Bay VIew in Swansea Sun. Aug 6th but sadly we can't make that one. If you really want a great night and dance your socks off go and see JOE SCHMO you will NOT be disappointed.

Just a remark on a band called Quest, i was really surprised at their versatility and would certainly hope they come to the locality in the future, i see many solo acts and duos at the club but these guys were so different reminded me of those winter evenings watching big stars on the old grey whistle test, i just loved the live "jam" feeling very satisfied customer.
