You can read the news and sport, read reviews and find out what's on, follow what's happening in local communities with online stories from over 50 'Papurau Bro', listen live to Radio Cymru and much more. A must for all learners is a visit to the extensive Learn Welsh site, with a range of activities and resources.

If you'd like to read BBC Cymru'r Byd but need help with some Welsh words, help is at hand. Bwrdd Yr Iaith Gymraeg - Welsh Language Board.

The Board was established in 1988 and its aim is to promote and develop the use of the Welsh language in Wales. It works with businesses, the media, local authorities and groups, and also works in an offical capacity advising the government.

Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru - National Eisteddfod of Wales.

The official website of the largest annual cultural event held in Wales - in fact, it's the largest event of its kind in Europe. Competitions are held for Welsh learners.


Mentrau Iaith - Welsh Language Ventures.

A Menter (pl. Mentrau) Iaith, or language initiative, is a local organisation which offers support to communities to increase and develop their use of the Welsh language. A Menter will offer advice and assistance to individuals, organisations and businesses, and will organise activities to raise the profile of the Welsh language.

Y Ganolfan Iaith Genedlaethol - National Learning Centre.

Nant Gwrtheyrn is a residential centre for teaching Welsh based in a former quarrying village on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula. From January 2004 it has offered courses on the culture and environment of Wales.
