Last updated: 02 November 2006

Irene Coles,Exeter
My Mum (Clarice Pamela Mary Edmunds Rasson)would have been seven-years-old in 1931 and was born in Laugharne living in 8 Victoria St. She was once Laugharne's Carnival Queen, but I'm not sure of the year, she was about 21yrs old then. Married my father Ivor Coles in 1941 in Laugharne church. They had a double wedding ceremony with a couple who lived in Mortonhampstead. My grandparents are both buried in Laugharne cemetry very near to Dylan Thomas's grave. Mum is a little forgetful now but when she next comes into Exeter I will see if she can recognise anyone in the photos.
