Wonderful memories of my life as a child in Margam, Port Talbot. Memories that will never fade and ones that I cling to and relate now to my granddaughter. Thank you for this website and for bringing to life the memories I hold dear.

I remember the Towers but I also remember them being knocked down. I was watching them fall from...primary school...

As a child growing up in pre-WW2 Port Talbot my favourite hike was up the mountain to the viewpoint featured in the first picture in your gallery of photos of the town. I just loved the view which never faded from my mind! Over the years I have made frequent return visits to the dear town of my youth, and each time at the earliest opportunity I returned to my favourite spot for this my favourite view. I am so thrilled to find it on your web site. Diolch yn fawr.

I must admit you cannot help but get emotional about the town you grew up in. Been left many years ago now. Mother and family still there, so at least I have a reason to visit now and again. Like the site and Beach hill!! Whats that's about?

Lovely to see messages from so many people. I spent all my life in Port Talbot living in Tanygroes Street. Went to Central School. Now 75 years old - many tales to tell.
