As detailed on the Restoration website, the building's listed status means it does not lend itself to commercial usage.

Therefore the decision was taken to try and find a viable cultural end use. The plans under consideration for its future development include an art gallery, a museum of the town, and a space for educational purposes. The aim for this would be for the house to generate important cultural and economic benefits for Llanelli as a whole. It's value to the community would be reinstated, just as it was used in the mid 19th Century for various deserving causes including the Salvation Army, the County Blind Society, the Ministry of Works and in the Second World War the local Womens Voluntary Service.
