Llanelli's landmark townhouse made it through to the grand final of one of the big TV hits of 2003 - BBC 2's Restoration, hosted by Griff Rhys Jones. In the show one lucky British building would be nominated by the public to be saved from ruin and restored to its former glory. Though not the ultimate series winner, Llanelly House did the region proud by winning the most votes in the Wales programme.
