I remember visiting the chest clinic which used to be in london road and whilst waiting for it to open and be the first patient I used to go and see the World War 1 tank that was on display there.

Can clearly remember falling out from the Angel pub, pictured on the right, every weekend. How times have changed and yet have not changed at all.

My very first job was as a travel clerk at Jenkins travel which can be seen in the photo. I was the junior clerk and Lena was the Senior. The telephone would regularly break down and I had to run across the road to the Angel pub, with a bag of change to make bookings with the Head Office of Jenkins, in Skewen. I used to get my hair done next door in Ritchies.Happy days.

I lived in the Angel at this time I think, my parents ran it in the 80s, and there were lots of spooky goings on!

So good to see my dad's old salon Ritchies in Angel Street. Founded in 1935 and its lasted over 50 years. Hair is still in the family with sons, Michael and Clive.

Walking around Neath town centre on the morning of the Neath rfc v New Zealand all blacks game, way back in October 1989. The town was buzzing with anticipation and excitement, shame about the result.

Picture no.11 Angel Street - Walk to the end of the Angel St, turn left and cross the road under the railway bridge. That was Bridge St. On the left hand side was our cafe...a lifetime ago.
