I thought that the pictures of Lower Fishguard would have been better presented had the tide been in. Lower Fishguard never looks its best at low tide.

iasie Barrett (nee Warlow), Hampshire
I was born at No. 106 Harbour Village in 1920. My parents separated when I was 10 years old, and I never saw my Father again as I moved to Berkshire with my mother Lucy Warlow. I was told he was dead but later found out that he died 1958, his name was Ivor Warlow. I am trying to trace where he was buried but have had no luck...now I...would really like to visit his resting place, to bring closure.

I was born up Harbour Village in 1940 and lived at both 109 until I was 10 then at 82 until I left to go away to sea in 1961. Both my parents Annie and Jack Williams were born locally and My sisters Annette and Rosalie were brought up there. I did know Pat Lewis but my sisters knew her better. I have always thought the area was wonderfull even if someone has made the beach into a morass. I seem to remeber it once had sand.

Abergwaen is one of the most beautiful places in the world - filled with great scenery, interesting history, and WONDERFUL people. My great grandparents, David R. Williams and Mary Havard Williams were from the Preseli Hills. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1887. I've spent some of my favorite times in the past few years with my cousins, Nansi and Owen Morgan, in Lower Town. Cymru am byth!

I was born at 90 harbour village in 1947 and my sister in 1945. My mother was born at 51 and my grandfather worked down the harbour. My grandparents were called Mertie and Rox Taylor. My mum and my sister and I went to the convent school. My grandparents and mother were friends with Mr and Mrs Jefferies, Mrs Artie William up harbour village and Pat Lewis and her mother. Does anyone have any stories etc of them?

Visited the area quite recently. A lovely part of the world. Tried to find information about my Great Grandfather - David Jenkins born in 1850 in Llanwnda. No luck yet but am still working on it! The name Jenkins in South Wales is a bit of a problem!!

Toured England and Wales in 1985. Of all I saw, Fishguard was in the top 5 places I saw. Walked the streets of Fishguard and the homes in the area are beautiful, as well as the people. Thanks for being there for us to see.

I am working on my family history and from 1891 Census found that my mother's grandparents were living in Main St - a few doors along from the Globe pub - My husband and I were there yesterday (1/11/2006) - Picture Number 6 clearly shows the house which would be in the yellow coloured building just past the Globe pub (which is currently being renovated) In 1901 the family, now with three young children, were living around the corner in Kensington St.

Beautiful place. Spent the past four summers in Goodwick as my friends parents live there. Just spent two happy weeks there and got back yesterday. Missing the place already. The place seems to relax and refresh me everytime I go.

Both my parents were born in Goodwick, and both now rest in Llanwnda cemetery. I spent every summer in Goodwick as a boy and lived there for nearly three years when working as one of the maghistrates' clerks for Pembrokeshire in the early 1980's. Of course I love the area.

My dad was born in Fishguard in 1914 and I spent a lot of hols there when I was growing up. It has hardly changed, still characterful and beautiful with really friendly people. I will always love the area.
