It's nice to see the area has not changed a lot. I lived in Pendine for a while - that was 18 years ago. I worked in Pencader and Whitland - great people I miss them all.

Thank you for the pictures. I am just beginning to explore my family name and it leads me to this area of Wales. Thank you so much.

I attended Trinity College in the fall of 1987, enjoyed my time in Carmarthen immensely. It is wondeful to see that the town remains as lovely as it was then. Is the Boar's Head pub still in operation? One rainy night I was beaten there by a drunken rugby mob who had lost their tournament. All is forgiven, but I never had a chance to finish my pint of bitter!

In reply to Davena from Presteigne. The church tower now looks exactly how it did when first built. In time this will weather and start to look how you remember it. Personaly I think it's unique and if nothing else it cerainly gets people talking.

What on earth has been done to Saint Peter's tower? It looks appalling. Oh dear!

I'm thrilled to have found this site. I was at Trinity College 1988-89. I think of Carmarthen almost daily! Thanks for the pix- I'll definitely check back for new additions often.
