Lily Ayre, Swansea
I agree with Leo - the Anarkali on St Helens Rd is fantastic every time. A brilliant vegetarian menu also, so nice to have a choice for a change!

Hayley Williams, Carmarthen
Farhins in Carmarthen is the best takeaway curry I've ever tasted and very cheap aswell. They give you free popadoms with every order. My partner thinks so too and he is from Gravesend, which is full of indian takeaways.

If you ever visit Pembrey Country Park you must call for food here. Fantastic fresh food...best fish I have ever tasted! They truly deserve the many awards they have had...a family-run business that combines good food with excellent service.

I love fish and chips from "JOHN'S" in Station Road in Llanelli. They're the best. And when my father visits all the way from Newcastle he has to have a rissole, it's the only place he likes them from. Plus they don't sell them up north so it's a bonus for him.

i have to say Delight on High Street does an amazing burger with jalepenos and chilli sauce, top notch.

rhan from pontardawe
Swansea-wise the best curry house has to be Miahs. Awesome food and service. Apart from that The Cottage in Pontardawe has to be visited. Once again awesome food and great friendly service. As for chippies we are fortunate to have so many good ones...a few to consider - Scampis in Neath, Roma in Gorseinon - Batch and chips is stunning, Johnnies and Yallops in Mumbles, to name but a few.

I have 2 lovely Chinese Takeaway I love and go to all the time. First being-Happy Wok in Victoria Road-always busy, also same owners as the one in Briton Ferry, fantastic food. And the second being Pearl Chop Suey in Taibac - my local, this again is always busy, and each time I've been, I've had either free prawn crackers or pappadums.

Martin from Carmarthen
Farhins, Priory Street, Carmarthen do a fantastic Jingho Caldeen, king prawns in a really hot spicy sauce with garlic, ginger, chillies with creamed coconut and lime juice. When I moved from Birmingham to Wales a couple of years ago, the one thing I thought I'd miss most was a decent curry, but I can honestly say the quality and taste here is even better than the "Balti Triangle" in B'ham.

I reckon the chip shop up in Croeserw is the best around - although there aren't that many chip shops up here anymore - they are the best in South Wales!

On a recent trip to South Wales, I stopped off at a wonderful little restaurant in Port Talbot. It is called The Shah Indian restaurant, and it is on Station Road I believe. I had a wonderful Chicken Phaal and fries. To my utter amazement, it cost next to nothing. What a treat.
