NW, Haverfordwest
I moved to London ten years ago and there's not a club in London that can compete with Matisse. I once woke up in the street after a big night out there and all my chest hair had gone. Wicked!
Fri Jan 16 10:29:26 2009

rory carmarthenshire
The best night out for me in Carmarthen is going to see a show in the Lyric Theatre. The Lyric is a lovely old fashioned theatre with an original 1930s style auditorium.
Mon Sep 15 15:16:34 2008

Robert of USA
I was over in Swansea visting my family on vacation all I have to say is I had the best time while I was there. The clubs were the best that I've ever been to. I'm hoping to be coming back soon.

Being a Tenby lad.......you've just got to rave about the Tenby nightlife.....!! Whoop Whoop!! Tis brilliant......start off in the Buc, then onto Lifeboat, then £1 bottles of carlsberg in the Tenby House then move off to Mariners and do some karoake!! Tis brilliant....and if you're up for a well wicked nite......go to sands down in saundersfoot as well!! u're guaranteed for a brilliant nite out even if the entry fee is a bit pricy!!

tracey smith, mlford haven
Matisse is one of the best clubs round ere, if ur ever round haverfordwest u shud pop in there, they've always got top djs from around the uk playin there. The owner of Matisse has opened a club in Milford Haven called Circles that is really good too. The bar staff, security and djs are really friendly, there's a really good selection of music in there.
Tue May 1 07:37:06 2007

Emma, Swansea
You can't beat Wind Street in Swansea for night out, my perfect night would be start off in Bar Co, Varsity, Pitcher and Piano then Revolution and end the night in Play!! Awesome!!
Mon Feb 26 14:07:11 2007

Angharad Roche, Tufton
A cracking night out would begin in the Tufton Arms at about lunchtime on a midsummer's day. The sun will be shining, the birds singing in the trees, bees buzzing their way around the flowers blooming flowers. My friends and I would would then jump into a 4x4 landrover being kindly driven by a short-straw selecting friend who, with the radio blasting, would toot along the dusty, sun baked country roads calling off at: The Drovers Arms, The Swan, Bessie's,The Hope & Anchor, The Farmers Arms, Bennetts,The Coach House, Bar 5 and the The Golden Lion. A Summers day on the razz in beautiful Pembrokeshire, land of dreams...what else could be better??
Thu Jan 4 16:11:01 2007

Sarah, Mumbles
Best night out in the summer goes to Mumbles head out about two - leisurely stroll down the mile making the most of the pubs then on to Bentleys to finish the night off...
Wed Jan 3 11:27:54 2007

Zoe from Swansea
A great night would be starting off in Lava lounge, working your way up Wind Street - stoping in Bank Statement, ICE bar and then Walkabout. Ending the night on a high by going up to Flares about 12ish and dance til you cant dance no more!!!!
Mon Dec 11 09:40:38 2006

Richie - Swansea
Got to start in the Brynymor, strut in to town and then..... Bedlam. There`s a new bar opened where Rasputins used to be called simply "The Indie Bar". There`s something for eveyone in Abertawe, plus a great music scene.
Thu Oct 26 08:46:14 2006

Paul
Matisse in Haverfordwest is the bomb!! Look out for the Bazooka event. Top quality Drum & Bass and Happy Hartdcore!!!
Tue Sep 5 08:46:17 2006

arthionaeth from pembrokeshire
The last time I was in Swansea...walking down the high street was like a warzone. There were several fights and crowds standing around them hailing them to kill each other, girls walked past with arms locked, garishly screaming obscenities, it wasn't attractive, and bottles flying across the roads barely missing people, images of a society in serious decline.
Fri Aug 11 09:31:15 2006

Fri Mar 31 09:44:22 2006

Lois, Saundersfoot
Tenby can be cool, if your with a good crew. Coach & Horses, Buccanneer, Tenby House are great pubs. Can get a bit full on on a Sat night. Saundersfoot is cool too, slighlty less frenetic, recommend The Deck below Cambrian hotel. Great atmos, good pool table, as soon as they fix juke box would be awesome little pub.
Wed Mar 22 17:20:54 2006

Chloe, Haverfordwest

Sarah Bevan from Narberth, Pembs
I'd have to say that Tenby is the best place to go out!So many pubs and there being so little drinking time! The lifeboat,Tenby House and the 3 Mariners I would say are the best there! Keep an eye out for Fecci chips as well!lush!
Wed Mar 1 17:14:50 2006

Chris Clemson Kent
I went to Swansea to check out the uni and stayed on for a night out with friends that live there, my one regret is that im not at uni yet! Brilliant nightlife Beautiful people and more cheap booze then i could shake a reasonably sized stick at.
Tue Feb 28 01:12:21 2006

you cant beat swansea for a good night out wind street Lloyds bar pitcher & piano then you have a fantastic choice of night clubs the people are friendly and the women are stunning and you’re guaranteed a good night
Sat Feb 11 02:06:08 2006

Dan - Neath
Swansea is a really good nite out. But you gotta learn to make the most of it. Start off in neath and then catch a train to swansea walk down to wind st and you'll find the best disco bars u've ever seen then head up to the kingsway where you'll find a street full of super nightclubs. After the nightclubs you can head to either top bannana or Ken bu kan for the more head banging party animals, with ken bu kan being open up until 10am. You cant beat a nite out in swansea
Thu Feb 2 17:43:10 2006

Stella - Newcastle Emlyn
I love the Ship Inn in Tresaith - the food is great but the best bit is the stunning sea view, which can be enjoyed from inside in the winter or from the beer garden in the summer. Blydi gorgeous!!
Mon Jan 30 09:01:23 2006

S & A Swansea
swanc is the best place 4 an awesome night out. start off in wind st in sa1, square, ice, walkabout, revs, yates', lloyds bar etc and then head up to the kingsway and go to jaks or if u prefer go to kaos, time, envy, cro bar, escape, jubblys, play whatever takes ur fancy. u cant not have a great night out in swanc u've got a whole street full of pubs n clubs (wind st) plus another one (kingsway) full of nightclubs, wot more do u want? always friendly ppl out too and swanc aint expensive ;-)
Sun Jan 29 12:59:56 2006

Amy Jenkins from Haverfordwest
Matisse is by far the best club in Haverfordwest! Saturday nights there are amazing. I love the two different types of music so you have a choice: dance or party! The DJ in the basement plays the best retro party music and is such a laugh, he just gives bottles of champagne away for the fun of it!! I think the drinks are a little expensive but who cares when you have such a great atmosphere!
Sat Jan 21 18:09:25 2006

dave from llanelli
i love llanelli because ov all the good nightclubs llanelli is cool!:)
Sun Jan 15 22:23:08 2006

Junglist Soldier
I have to say, Matisse in Haverfordwest makes Fabric (London) look rubbish in terms of sound. Fabric's half million pound soundsystem just cant compete. Matisse's music line-up every weekend always represents music from across the wide spectrum. Pushing the U.K's finest music scenes like no other venue in Britain, Matisse does it all under one roof. The worlds musical superstars can be found mingling with the classy clientelle every weekend - dont miss it!
Tue Jan 3 08:06:59 2006

Helen Adams - Aberavon.
The Four winds on Aberavon beachfront has superb sea views and a friendly atmosphere. The food is top notch too!
Sun Jan 1 19:38:49 2006

Luc from Haverfordwest
I used to live in Haverfordwest and still go there loads during uni holidays. Matisse is definately the place to go on a Sat night. A lot of the pubs in the area have been redone so a pub crawl before hand goes down very well. You wana be at Matisse at 22:30 or anytime you want if you have guest list ;) Keep it classy Haverfordwest and see you on the floor.

Thu Aug 25 16:00:24 2005

Gaz Evans from Pembrokeshire
Everybody should experience my idea of a great night out! A few in PT's famous 'Lord Caradoc'! Get a few beers (reef for Karl) and get the train to Swansea, have a few beers and a few laughs or even a sing song on Wind Street then on to Barons for the ultimate party experience. Finish off with an Indian on St Helens road or a fry up at the 24 hour cafe opposite the station! Top Dog night out!

Mon Apr 25 19:10:46 2005

Howard (Swansea)
Nights out in Swansea are great espescially for the older generation like myself. I enjoy places like Crobar where funky music is played and I can mingle with the younger crowd and feel young again. (Can't usually remember it the next day though) :-)
Fri Apr 15 14:10:28 2005

Martin (Wind St) Swansea
Swansea's Wind St in summer is the best, the street is closed to traffic and everybodies outside enjoying the fine weather (when we get it). If your in2 funky house music Pitcher'n'Piano is the place to start off the night then on to either Crobar or Room2 @ Escape, awesome music, cool people = top night.
Thu Apr 14 10:29:19 2005

Abbie from London
Matisse is amazing.
Mon Apr 11 15:00:18 2005

Haveagoade - Swansea
Been to Cardiff loads of times and always regretted it and wished I'd gone to Swansea instead. What more can you ask for? Wind St... pubs for all types young or old.....and stag nights....whey hey...a night in a B&B on Oystermouth Rd is cheaper than a taxi home in many cities... and boy o boy what a view out the B&B window on Sunday morning... overlooking Swansea Bay.....much better than a grot in Splott...lol
Thu Apr 7 14:25:25 2005

Alicia Bateman, Mumbles, Swansea
The best girls night out is firstly going out for a great meal where wine is fast-flowing - we recently sampled the delights of the 'Chelsea Cafe' Restaurant, just off Wind Street; amazing!! Then off to Pitcher & Piano and Revolution, on Wind Street, for a few cocktails and a boogie! A 5* night will be had by all I can ensure you!!
Thu Apr 7 10:49:37 2005

Jinx, Johnston
If you want a good night out then look no further than Johnston. Start up the club ... then to the Railway, mustard, great beer and end up the Silverdale to drink the witches potion. Or finish up the Vine to see happy Dave and his rocket fuel stella!!!

Tue Dec 7 10:39:28 2004

Farmer Giles from Llandovery
If you want a good night out then avoid Llandovery, that is my advice. Try Llandovery Rugby Club and you can't avoid having an amazing night, with DJ Stokes on the decks! Christmas isn't too bad and as for New Year's Eve, party party party to see in my birthday.
Mon Dec 6 11:42:31 2004

Neil from Swansea
Swansea truly is a great night out, never failing to provide a quality night. There's nothing better than doing the pubs down Wind Street, enjoying the vibe and then finishing off dancing the night away in Swansea's premier clubbing experience... Escape.
Mon Nov 22 11:30:05 2004

Rose Haverfordwest

Ben Ward from Newport Pembs
I love a cold pint down the lion after a good game of rugger!
Sat Nov 13 13:33:34 2004

Fern Jones from Port Talbot
Swansea has got to be the best night out in South Wales. Start off in Wine Street, pop in to Lloyds Bar, Walkabout, The Square and Yates are a few favourites of ours to start your night out. The move up to the Kingsway where you can nip in to McDonalds if your feeling a bit peckish before you finish you night off in either Flares or Jumping Jacks, both are excellent if you want a night full of dancing and the staff and customers are always friendly and up for a laugh regardless of which night you go on. For students Thursdays are ideal for a cheap drink and then it's hopping all weekend-Flares is especially good for birthdays, Hen Partys and Stag Nights. Enjoy!
Tue Nov 2 22:17:29 2004

Nancy from Florida,USA
Just visited your wonderful Wales and Mu Gram was from Swansea so it is more precious to me now. Have a comment though. I noticed so many really aggressive women in the pubs. There were two particularly that stood out -- CJ's Wine in Mumbles. They must have been drinking earlier as I can not think Welsh women would climb over men like they did. My Gram was always a lady. If I would have been the men---I would have told them to "Get lost". They competited with each other and finally we left as we could not talk. One actually stomped her high heels when a certain man came in and he had a wedding ring on his finger. Hope it was his wife.
Wed Oct 27 16:24:54 2004

Simon Gardner from Christchurch
Just been to the area on an outdoor adventure activity weekend with Call of the Wild. Swansea is a great place, recommend the nightlife

Thu Aug 26 18:02:57 2004

Steven Carpenter from Fishguard
Tenby is the best night spot in Wales, start off with an afternoon on the beach then onto the Lifeboat pub, can't fault it.

Mon Aug 9 13:59:49 2004

Nathan of Swindon
Swansea...when I was a kid in West Wales, it used to be the Babylon where civilisation ended. Now I live in Swindon, we choose to travel to Swansea for nights out...cheaper, less hassle, real women, and you're actually allowed to enjoy yourself without harrassment from over-zealous door gorillas...
Wed Jun 23 18:20:57 2004

Trevor
The Bronwydd Night Club is world famous. Check out Jean on the poles.
Sat May 29 14:45:11 2004

Bryn is rubbish, apart from Teeth, Dick, and £3.50. Minnies is far better, apart from £5.30 for double vodka and orange

Every Saturday has to start in the Abergwaun, and end up in the Brynewelon Hotel. Great music to dance to and is fairly cheap. Everyone loves it.
Wed Apr 28 21:38:56 2004

Alison from Swansea
Wind St is fab, age no problem, all gender, all shapes and sizes out for a laugh. I go out often and never see a fight. We start off in Wind St and then end up in Barons, roll on May when the Bank Statement re-opens, all that cheap drink and they are throwing in a disco and a closing time of 1am, can't go wrong....

The best and most exciting nights out of all happen in late May, June and July. This is when the mighty Sea Trout or Sewin run the rivers of Wales. You start fishing when it gets dark and then except for a break for a cup of tea around 12.30 you are fishing hard until dawn. When a big Sea Trout hits your fly your heart races, you sweat, they leap acrobatically, crashing back down into the pool trying to throw the hook. You'll recognise a Sea Trout fisherman in summer easily, he is pale, tired looking but with a glint in his eye.

People say that Blackpool is a great holiday and good night out, but it's nothing to swansea where u have fun with ur friends and meet loads of new people. Everyone is friendly there, you have a good time not mess about like little school kids. It's a top place 2 be ... I love it xxx

Swansea is the epicentre of the uncool where you will find an abundance of Thomas Burberry shirts and rugby playing simians. Avoid it at all costs.

Top night out is Wind Street Swansea - get a minibus down to town with the boys. Then work your way along Wind Street - Walkabout is very popular.
