Thanks to "4th Street Traffic" for playing at the "Moonfest party" in Wiltshire. 2+ hours is not enough of this fantastic Welsh band.

    Mario Etzelsberger, Austria
Maybe she`s not the most popular here. But I really love the sound of Loreena McKennitt, a really wonderful artist of Celtic music.

    Steve, Top of Tryfan
Super. Furry. Animals. They are undoubtedly the best band on the planet. I can't believe so few of you Welsh folk rate them highly. Forgive my hyperbole earlier in this paragraph but in all seriousness there is no other British band who can touch them.

4th street traffic are the best unsigned band in s.Wales and the UK. They are absolutely awesome. Very very professional and inspirational, with strong lyrics, powerful vocals and mind blowing guitar work and drums. These boys are as good as anything in the music business today. Go for it lads...

Three of the best bands in wales at the mo' for me are, 4th Street Traffic. Conerstone.& Back Alley Sally. If i had to pick just one, for me it would have to be 4th Street Traffic but all 3 are super bands and worth a look if you get the chance. Why is it so hard for great bands like this to get signed - as much as I love Wales for anyone trying to get on in the music world here it can be the real pits!

    Tue Aug 8 16:47:43 2006

    Sherida Tyler
You must hear the young harpist, Angharad Evans...try and catch her live. She manages to be informative yet informal and has a good rapport with the audience. The music is traditional Welsh music played on the ancient instrument with nearly 100 strings. Magical.

Just like to say yes it's true, 4th Street Traffic have been signed to a small record label and their first single will be relased into the download chart on april 24th. 4th Street Traffic is one of the best bands in wales today and as a fan i would like to wish them the very best! And good luck to all the other unsigned bands out there you keep us rocking!

Looks like 4th Street Traffic as been signed i hope its a good label in the right hands this band could be huge. Can't understand why the pop factory didn't snap this band up after they won their rock idol compo'then again it's their loss.
    Sat Mar 11 23:40:34 2006

    Andy Blackwood
Went to see 4th street traffic last night at the Angel inn to see what all the fuss was about i give them 10/10 really good band. But thethe icing on the cake for me was the lead guitarist off stage this boy is nothing special and seems very shy, but put a guitar in is hands and boy is he something one of the best guitarists i have ever seen and i have seen a few.
    Sat Mar 4 09:31:27 2006

    Claud Cleric - Finsbury Park
By hook and by crook, have you heard the Insiders?? Swansea's best band by far. Real power stuff from boys who have been there and done it already.

    Cadman in Bristol
For hip hop, no-one is doing it like QRED. This guy is coming with that dark flavor, no bull... Anyone who claims to be into real hip hop should seek out any of his releases. And he's from the sticks in Pembrokeshire??!! Must be something in the water down there...

Up and coming Swansea band Opaque Reality have had some good reviews, playing a mixture of there own material, and covers, such as Ramones, Chilli Peppers and Velvt Revolver to name but a few, their musical maturity belies the fact that they are all just 14,they cut a demo disc back in october, and have been support to Lynchpin on the gig at Teenspirit in December, they can be seen at Inferno in the Uplands, and at Teenspirit, Northampton lane.
    Tue Jan 17 12:40:07 2006

Anne T. Social - Swansea Sandfields
I can only agree with your last comment. The "INSIDERS" are a brilliant band. They really rock and I love them all. They are always playing in and around Swansea and Neath. Must be the area's hardest worked group. Well worth while going for a listen and a bop. Score out of ten.....eleven easily.
    Fri Jan 13 15:46:51 2006

    Heywood U. Cuddleme, swansea
the insiders are a truly fantastic local band, very close knit, looks like a grandfather, son and grandson line up. dont miss any chance u get to see them around swansea - you wont regret it!
    Tue Jan 10 21:26:50 2006

    Suzanne of Pembrokeshire
The Rainkings have got to be my favourite Pembs band of the last few years - great songs and great live! They don't do many gigs these days but if you get a chance to see them you won't be disappointed. The best place to see them would be at a summer festival or The Station Inn, Pembroke Dock which is my fav live venue.
    Mon Jan 2 20:37:34 2006

    Trev, pems
The Blackbirds are a pretty good band, as are Twisted Faith and Intensive Square - I saw them at Yogfest the other day, pity about Love Rocket though..

I feel the Welsh rap scene has come alive since the establishment of Goldie Lookin Chain. Many up and coming rappers have performed at the Artramont Arms in Croes-goch which is a hotbed of rap in West Wales including MC Westside Ddraig and Dangerous Dafydd.
    Sun Nov 27 20:29:59 2005

    JessiKa from Pembs!
Dirty Dog are absolutely brilliant, but then again, I could be biased as my brother is in thr band. Still.. They are brilliant and have improved tremendously in the past few months. The Trials are also pretty damn good. My Dads On Fire, Brother Vegetable, The Blackbirds are also all brilliant. There are others too but they've escaped my mind. Infact, the Pembrokeshire music scene is thriving at the moment with talented, enthusiastic, young musicians!

If you haven't seen Swansea's Rockers "The Insiders" then you sure have got something to look forwards to. They are by far the best band in South Wales. Their music is so vibrant it blows you away. They mostly play the smaller venues (they are a trio) and are in and around Swansea every weekend. They headlined the last two Gower Guitar Festivals and are booked to perform for the "Bikers Rally" at Margam Park in 2006.

    Tue Jun 14 23:08:14 2005

    Waunite from The Waun
With their album 'Dore', Bob Delyn a'r Ebillion proved they are still one of the most talented and innovative bands on the Welsh scene. Working with producer Gorwel Owen, (SFA, Gorkys) their experimental approach to the folk tradition and Twm Morys' bardic mastery of the Welsh language (translations supplied) combine to make some truly beautiful songs like 'Pethau Bychan Dewi Sant' and 'Yr Afon'. Hair-raising stuff!
    Mon Jun 13 13:37:22 2005

    Ond from Carmarthen
    Hey everyone.

This is for anyone who would like to further promote their bands in Carmarthenshire. The Supernauts website has its own forum dedicated to creating a Carmarthen music scene. Now this doesn't mean you have to be from Carmarthen to be a part of it, we already 9 bands from around Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion areas all being part of it as well as over 80 members which is not bad considering it only started this year.

The bands have all stated that joining the Carmarthen Music Movement forum has helped bands arrange and participate in gigs around the Carmarthen area that would have not happened without it's help, so if you want to play in & around Carmarthen with bands like Supernauts, Nikolai, The States, The Big Apple Credits and loads more then join the forum. Go to www.supernauts.co.uk and then click on the "Go to the forum" picture.

    Thanks
