Mill Bank helps to remind us that there was a mill here once. To the right of the picture, you see that it is a lot lower. This is called the flood plain. If the river was to flood the flood plain would be covered in a lot of water.
Mr Blacklaw-Jones explained that people would want to keep their things safe such as money and food, so they would buy homes on hills.
