Haverfordwest was, and still is dominated by the castle. It was built on high ground and surrounded by lots of water. This made it easy to defend.

I enjoyed your brilliant tour of H 'West!I lived on Goshawk Road when I was a young woman in the U.S. Navy twenty five years ago. I came to Wales to be staioned with my new Husband out at RAF Brawdy. Haverfordwest is a beautiful town with lovely people and many wonderful memories. Thank you for your slideshow!
