Oldest Postbox in Wales

Last updated: 05 September 2006

In 2002 the Royal Mail launched a new set of stamps commerating the 150th anniversary of the pillar box at Haverfordwest Town Museum. They chose this location because the museum is home to the oldest freestanding postbox in Wales. This postbox dates from 1857 and it was rediscovered in a garden off Merlin's Hill, where it was being used as a gatepost.
