This photo was taken sometime in the 1950's. Castle Hotel was an old coaching inn. Part of this building was demolished in the 1960's and it was rebuilt as Woolworths. Behind the 'no parking' sign was Blands the car show rooms. Bridge Street at this time had two way traffic.
