The old salt-encrusted seaport town of Fishguard sits in the far west of Wales. It is a place of rugged cliffs, ancient standing stones and ruined castles.

But long before the Normans arrived here or the Norsemen sailed into view, before the Saints, even before the Romans came, Fishguard was an important crossroad of trade routes and cultures.
