Rhys of Port Talbot says:
"Can anybody help me find information on my late grand father, Henry Miles of Cwmavon, Port Talbot? He was brought up in Pontrydyfen and worked in the Eagle Brick Works. During World War 2, he fought in Burma with the 6th Battalion South Wales Borderers. This is all I know. My grandfather died before I was born and the people in my family that would have know alot about him have now passed away. I would appreciate any information possible."

Albert of Aberaeron is looking for information on Thomas Parry:
"Does anyone know of any descendants of Thomas Parry who, according to the 1901 Census, was a Policeman at St Martins parish, Pembs. He had four children from his second marriage namely Ann, Eleanor, Joseph and George. I believe that Ann married a Chiswick."

Christine from Albany, New York has links with Cenarth:
"Hoping to find information about my ancestors, and if I might have relatives still in South Wales. My great great grandfather, Evan James, of Cenarth, Carmarthenshire (lived 28 July 1808 - 16 September 1868) and his brother Thomas James (1804-1852); Evan James listed on Cenarth/Kennarth census/directory of 1830 as a keeper of the White Hart inn/pub. Thomas James listed in marriage records for St. Llawddog Parish in Cenarth marrying Mary or Maria Rees on 08/07/1823. Both Thomas and Evan emigrated to Albany, New York before 1850, when they appear on Albany census records. Thank you for any help you can offer!"

Gerry Cronin is looking for information on his grandfather:
"My grandfather was a well know publisher and politican prior to the Second World War. He was known as the poor mans lawyer. His name was Bartholomew Cronin. He has a house in West Cross near The Mumbles. I also think he saved somebody from drowning in The Mumbles 1920's - 30's. He is buried in Oystermouth Cemetry. Any assistance would be appreciated."

Elizabeth of Williamsburg, USA says:
"My husbands great grandfather was born in Swansea, Wales. He left and travelled to NY. He probably left Swansea in the 1860's. His name was David Havard. We would love to know a bit more about him and his family in Wales."

Al Barrs of Florida, USA says:
"I have been researching my wifes and my family history, and my search inevitably takes me back to Wales. I am researching the Morgan, Jones and Davis families that all appear to have originated in Wales. My wife's Jones family appears to have originated in the village of Cilycwm in Carmarthenshire."

Marge Matthews of Queensland, Australia says:
"My grandfather Lewis Jenkins was an engineer in charge of the Mount Steward in and around 1900. Dad was the second eldest of five children born to Elizabeth at Cardiff Infirmary on July 6th 1893. Albert was the oldest child followed by dad then Windsor, Eunice and Olwen.

"Albert married Mary, lived in Swansea and had three children Howard, Olwen and Frank. Dad married May and had two children Glenys and Marjorie. Windsor married and lived in Abernant, had one son John. Eunice married William Parry and had two sons David and John. Not much is known of Olwen though I believe she married and died while still young.

"Back to grand-dad it seemed that the family moved around quite a bit when grand-dad changed jobs some of the places being Aberaman, Cwmaman, Bryn Port Talbot and finally Nantgarw where I was later born at 99 Oxford St. Here is where I lose track of Lewis and where I first met gran when Glen and myself were evacuated from london to Nantgarw to avoid the blitz taking place on London at that time. Gran died in Nantgarw around 1947. I hope this scant information will be of some use. Greetings to all in Wales."

Ron of Shrewbury is:
"Trying to trace descendants of Samuel and Rachel Jones who lived at Gwauniarll Farm at Seven Sisters. Rachel was born a Powell and this was her second marriage, as it was for Samuel - they had both been widowed. Rachel died in 1948 at Wern Farm Cwmgeidd. If any one can help that would be wonderful. Rachel was my Great Grandmother."

Jill Cadwaladr is trying to trace her great grandfather John Thomas of Llanelli:
"He would probably have been born in the 1880's. The only things I know about him are - that he had 13 children, one of whom was my grandmother Emily. The others were Gethin, Stanley, Walter, Albert, Martin, Eadie, Hilda, Minnie, Myra and Peggy. He was a coal merchant in the 1920's and only had one arm. Hence the nickname 'One-armed Johnnie'. Does anybody else out there know anything about him?"

John Govier of Australia is searching for information on Cornelius:
"Would anyone out there have any information on the Cornelius family of Swansa? My grandmother was Catherine Cornelius, she married William Govier about 1876. Thank you."

Tomi from Oswego, New York is:
"Looking to find the county or parish birthplace of Henry Zacariah Lewis (ore miner) b. around 1841 in Wales, mother Mary b. 1813, sister Hannah b. 1853. All emigrated to Pennsylvania around 1870. Have hit a brick wall over here."

Sylvia Steeves of Florida has links with Neath:
"Olwen May Bevan was born in Tonna on Feb. 3 1914, and adopted to a family there. Ethel Bevan was her mother, who died very soon after complications. Her father was Thomas Bevan and they lived at 1 Tynyrheol Cottages in Tonna. Olwen May is my aunt and my mother, Phyllis May Bevan's sister. Does anyone have any information on Olwen May? Thank you."

Jos Louwers is looking for family in Llanelli:
"I am trying to trace information about my Great Grandfather Walter Williams. He had two marriages, first to Mary they had two sons, William Edward Williams and I think a David Joseph Williams, both where killed within a month of each other in WW1. He then married a Catherine Lewis from Ton Pentre (she had a daughter called Bronwen who died young) and they had four children that I know of. Mary Bronwen, Walter, Benjamin and Blodwen (my grandmother).Any information would be greatly appreciated."

Sheila Beach is searching for information on her grandfather:
"I am researching my family tree, but I am having a lot of problems finding my grandfather, this is what I have on him. Joseph Williams born approx. 1914, his fathers name was Henry Williams not sure of mothers name. In 1937 my grandfather was living and working in London (he was in service as a porter).

" He married my grandmother Emily Margaret Dicker on the 27 December 1937 at the St Johns Church Waterloo London. On his marriage certificate he was 23 years old, they had four daughters one being my mother Shirley Anne Williams (born 1942). My grandfather was a strict catholic. In 1940-43? they where living at Trefalgar Terrace, when it was bombed my aunt Gwen was injured and a Luther Jones was killed (unsure of his connection to my family). At some time they also lived at Neath. My grandfather was a builder and moved around for work, but in 1942 he was a dock labourer in Swansea.

"We do not know where he was born or his mothers name, but it is said that at one time she lived at the Alms houses in Hereford by the old general hospital and also did the flowers for the Hereford Cathedral. The name we were given for her was Sarah this may have been around the 1950s-1960s? He may have had two brothers Richard and we think Stanley, we know for sure one worked for Hereford Council and the other for the fire service and was awarded a medal for service. Unsure but he may have been in the Home guard."

Ann Watt of Welwyn Garden City is trying to track down information on her grandparents:
"My father David Brinley Richards was born in Gilfach Goch, Glamorgan on 12.5.1913. My grandmother Ellen Evans, I believe, came from Newquay Cardiganshire, b.abt 1878. He was head cashier at the tinworks. One of their children, John (known as Jack b. 1884) married Mary Ann Lewis, whose parents were called Thomas and Martha (?). If anyone has any information on them I would love to hear from them, I can't find Mary's parents at all. Jack was a publican in Neath for a while (Crown Hotel?) and quite a few of his children were born there."

"Does anyone know anything about my relatives Mr and Mrs John Evans of Briton Ferry. They lived at 10 Vernon St. for a time and had a daughter Mary Catherine Evans (b. 3/4/1882) who later married Massena Garnet Watters and lived at Pilton Green, 2 Gower St. Briton Ferry."
