  • Have a look at Drew Guest's Slideshow

  • Where are you from originally and where do you live now?
I am originally from South Wales but now live in Rosemarket, Pembrokeshire.

  • What medium/media do you work in?
I work mainly in acrylics but use a lot of hand stitching and textiles.

  • How would you describe your work?
    Unique abstract mixed media.

  • What are your influences and inspirations?
My influences are Jackson Pollock, Rauschenberg, Klee and Anthony Gormley. My inspirations all come from deep within myself and each piece has a strong conceptual idea behind it.

  • What piece/pieces of work are you most proud of and why?
I have a very large piece which I have called "We won't make it home..." currently hanging on my living room wall and I'll never part with it!.

  • Have you had any exhibitions if so where ? Do you have any planned in the future?
I have had a few exhibitions in Darlington, County Durham which included some of my sculptures and paintings being the centre piece at the Mayor of Darlington's annual ball. I also had work shown in the Myles Meehan Gallery, the Town Hall Gallery and the Mayors Chamber, all in Darlington. My work is currently for sale at The King Street Gallery, Carmarthen, The Narberth Gallery, Narberth, The Waterfront Gallery, Milford Haven, and The Blue Ball Restaurant in Tenby.

  • Please give a brief description of one or two of the projects you've worked on most recently?
Nothing major so far as I am in the process of setting up my home and studio back here in Pembrokeshire, I hope to be involved in lots of things in the near future.

  • What are your views of the current Welsh scene both nationally and in south Wales?
I think that Art is more appreciated here in Wales than in other parts of Britain, maybe it's because we've always had a strong artistic culture here, especially in Pembrokeshire.
