What's your name? Dai Evans
Where are you from originally and where are you now? I am originally from Garnant in the Amman Valley and now live in Brynaman some 4 miles further up the Valley.
What medium / media do you work in? Photography - mainly slide film.
How would you describe your work?
Surreal , challenging and seeking to undermine the sanctity or art. I use shop models and build my own sets to pass comment on the arts and current affairs in a humorous and alternative way.
What are your influences and inspirations? Van Gogh , Dylan Thomas , Glen Baxter to name a few. I am particularly fond of Under Milk Wood. I am inspired to look from a different viewpoint and give the viewer something to think about and hopefully often smile about as well.
