People from across town and the surrounding area got involved with the events, workshops and programmes. Locals couldn't miss the events and programmes all across town.
The BBC Wales Bus and BBC.co.uk webteams were - as always - out and about working with people from across the area to help them tell their stories and bring them to a worldwide audience. As the web and bus teams are permanently based in SW Wales this work goes on!
We here at the BBC SW Wales website worked with pupils from Queen Elizabeth High School, who created their own online magazine, called QE2.

We also worked with all of the town's primary schools on a very special artwork project. To tie-in with the Countryside Council for Wales' 'My Special Place' campaign, pupils produced paintings highlighting where their special places in Carmarthenshire and further afield are. The results are showcased right here on the site in dedicated galleries containing more than 230 illustrations!

Even though the main focus of 'Here for You' has now finished, that doesn't mean that Carmarthen doesn't matter to BBC Wales any more - far from it. You can contribute stories, events and pictures to this Carmarthen website, along with getting the latest local news & sport, traffic & travel information and local debate. Also, Radio Cymru and Radio Wales frequently broadcast interviews and programmes from the BBC Wales Carmarthen offices.
Radio Cymru has a dedicated breakfast show exclusively for the South West of Wales from that well-known Carmarthenshire boy Ray Gravell, and dedicated West Wales reporters on BBC One's 'Wales Today' and 'Newyddion' (BBC Cymru on S4C) continue to cover the stories that matter to local people.
